Move to leather pays off for Via Uno

Brazilian footwear brand has said that the success it has gained in recent years after replacing outside brands in its stores with its own brand of shoes, putting production in the hands of outsource manufacturing partners and replacing synthetic materials in its footwear with leather will allow it to end this year with 300 stores across the world.

The company’s marketing director, Paulo Kieling, has told Brazilian media that this success has also allowed Via Uno to increase the average price per pair of its shoes and to embark on an ambitious plan to update its shop layouts. He said: “Our customers have noticed the change in our products. Now we have to update our points of sale to reflect that.”
