Leather city to open in Xinji

A newly built International Leather City in Xinji, China, will open on September 28, according to the Xinji Leather Association.

The local government in Xinji is hoping that the new zone will help revitalise the region’s leather sector and help it to increase its influence in overseas markets.

According to the association, products that do not fit certain criteria relating to quality, cost and environmental issues, will be banned from the leather market.
