Higher sales at HTL International

16/08/2010

Singapore-based furniture and upholstery leather producer HTL International saw its sales rise 10.2% during the first six months of the year.

Sales totalled 315.1 million Singapore dollars ($231.5 million) compared with 286 million Singapore dollars during the prior-year period.

Sales for North America rose 85% year-on-year to 41.5 million Singapore dollars compared with 22.4 million Singapore dollars. The increase made North America the company’s second-largest market, after Europe.

Net income fell 9.7% to 17.6 million Singapore dollars compared with 19.5 million Singapore dollars during the first half of last year. However, the company mainly attributed this to a one-time gain included in figures for the same period last year.
