BASF to display latest products at Shanghai show
BASF’s stand at the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) will show customers how to optimise products and processes. The German chemicals company will present its newest concepts at the Shanghai show, which runs September 1-3.
These will include its expanded formaldehyde-free Syntan range, new soft polymers, and its next generation of water-repellent systems including products such as eco-friendly Densodrin EP.
New, environmental-friendly finish products will include Astacin Novomatt DM, a polyurethane-based product featuring intrinsic matting, which is free of inorganic or other matting generating additives. Its Astacin Finish PR is free of N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and has improved hydrolysis resistance.
Process optimisation for water reduction in beamhouse and wet-end recipes will also be presented at the show.
”Environmental awareness and sustainable development are more important than ever before. We are aware of our role and responsibility. Therefore our focus lies on eco products and optimized processes,” says Joachim Henkmann, head of BASF’s leather business in East Asia.
