Custom-built furniture manufacturer Elite Leather has reportedly acquired Hiatt Furniture. According to Home Furnishings Business, the company will keep its name but will operate under Elite's ownership. Both firms are family run.
"I have known Hiatt Furniture president,
Hans Hiatt, and his family for many years, and I'm very pleased to bring them into the Elite Leather family," Elite Leather president and CEO, Michael Galardo, told the website. "This acquisition will translate to great things for Hiatt Furniture, their customers, and Elite Leather.”
"Elite Leather has an excellent reputation for quality, service, and integrity," Hans Hiatt, grandson of founder Hayden Hiatt told the website. "I believe that the combined companies will make a strong partnership and yield great results." Mr Hiatt will continue to be involved in the running of Hiatt Furniture, whose manufacturing plant will move to the Elite Leather factory this month. Both companies will have design input.
