New COTANCE president named

COTANCE, the representative body of the leather industry in the European Union, has announced that Albert Roselló, managing director of Spanish tanning company Serpelsa, has been elected as president for the period 2010–2012.

Mr Roselló has also been president of UDAC, the Association of Catalan Leather Producers, since 2008 and he became president of the Spanish Tanners’ Association in 2010. He held a series of positions in finance, sales, marketing and supply chain management in large multinationals before he joined the leather business in 2007. He takes over from Nalle Johansson of ELMO Leather, Sweden.

Based in the Catalan leather hub, Vic, Serpelsa is a leading producer of tanned rabbit skins with customers in more than 40 countries around the world.
