Chinese leather output increases in value by 19%

The China Leather Industry Association has reported that the total output value for the country's leather sector in the first five months of 2010 increased by 19.2% compared to the same period last year.

According to the figures, the Chinese leather sector produced goods and materials worth $37.5 billion in five-month period.

Export value accounted for 31% of total sale revenue, 2.7% less than its share of the previous year's total.
