China will have largest luxury goods market by 2015

China is set to become the world's largest market for luxury goods within five years, according to research by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The state-run oganisation has said that China's luxury goods market was worth $9.4 billion by the end of 2009, accounting for 27.5% of the globalmarket, and is expected to reach $14.6 billion by 2015.
