Paraguay hoping for record exports in 2010

Senasca, Paraguay’s national animal health and quality service, has reported that exports of meat and its by-products up until the end of May had a value of $363.8 million, 48% higher than for the first five months of 2009.

Packers and traders in the South American country exported 65,000 tonnes of beef along, with a value of $257.2 million, a 29% increase in value on last year, even though the volume was 4% lower.
