Hermès opens first Lebanon store

Luxury leathergoods brand Hermès is to open its first Lebanese store in Beirut on July 30.
The company has partnered with local retailer Galop to open the outlet in the city’s fashionable Bab Edriss. The store is in a listed building and its interior was designed by Parisian architects RDAI.
A full range of products will be on sale at the store including handbags and luggage, diaries and small leather goods, saddles, belts, gloves and shoes.
The brands sales for the three months ended 31 March totalled €507.7 million, up 20.2% year-on-year, with particularly strong growth seen recorded by its own stores. Its leathergoods and saddler division recorded growth of 23%, driven by a 22% rise in leather bag sales.
