Higher luggage and leathergoods sales in Venezuela

Datamonitor's 'Luggage and Leather Goods Sales via Key Retail Formats in Venezuela to 2013' study claims retail sales in the South American country have increased at a compound annual growth rate of 12.5% between 2003 and 2008.
The report provides historical and forecast data, as well as a comparison against the top five countries in the market.

According to the report, bag, wallet and purse sales led the luggage and leathergoods market with a share of 56.5% in 2008.

A similar report from Datamonitor focusing on the Brazilian market shows luggage and leathergoods retail sales in Brazil increased at a compound annual growth rate of 9.6% between 2003 and 2008. Again, bag, wallet and purse sales led the market with a share of 60.7% in 2008.
