Guademeci leather artist Jorge Centofanti is running an ‘Illumination Series’ exhibition workshop from June 12 to July 12 at Atelier des Arts in Puylaurens, France.

A premiere event was held on June 4, welcoming around 65 guests including tannery owners from Mazamet, gallery owners, interior designers, architects, artists and artists. The local mayor and culture secretary were also important guests.

The Argentinean leather artist told Leatherbiz visitors were extremely surprised by and impressed with the pieces on show. Five works were sold during the course of the day.

Mr Centofanti said many more visitors were expected to attend the official opening on June 11, as well as during the month-long exhibition.
