Natuzzi turns its attention to Turkey
Italian furniture manufacturer Natuzzi plans to open eight new stores in Turkey. According to the Anatolia news agency, the company, which already owns 13 factories in Italy, Brazil, China and Romania believes Turkey will be an important country for it to operate in because of the size of its furniture market.
It already has stores in the Etiler and Florya areas of Istanbul and recently opened a third store in Ankara. The company hopes to open two more stores in Istanbul another in Ankara in the near future. Further down the line it will bring the tally to 11, with stores in Antalya, Izmir, Bursa, Mersin and Gaziantep.
“According to our data, Turkey imports leather and fabric armchairs at a volume of $300 million from the United States, China and Europe. Natuzzi holds 32% of this market. We aim to increase that to 40%,” company spokesperson Mino Federico told Anatolia news agency.
