The company, which has 18 outlets across Namibia, cancelled all auctions for May 26, 27 and 28.
Livestock operations manager, Patrick van der Westhuizen, told local media that his company had been preparing to auction up to 2,500 over the three days. The outbreak of RVF occurred on six farms in the Hardap Region and one in the Karas Region in the early part of May.
South Africa has cancelled import permits for meat and livestock from Namibia, which means most livestock buyers will have to house any animals they buy until the ban is lifted.
