Christine Powley-Williams, president of the UK’s Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists, and development manager of consumer products at testing and research centre SATRA, married Paul Ohren-Bird on April 24 in Northampton.

Attended by many in the leather sector, the bride showed her attachment to the industry by wearing a leather wedding dress, made from cream-coloured gloving leather, with a purple silk underskirt. The dress was hand painted with purple flowers by the bride. She will now use the name Christine Ohren-Bird.
