According to Chinese search platform Himfr.com, Chinese imports of raw leather continue to rise in price.

The company points out that at the lowest point last year, price per hide was as low as $30, but is now between $70 and $80. Although the prices for finished leather and leathergoods have also risen, Himfr believes profits are being negatively impacted. It claims demand for raw hides continues to be high, and that even higher prices could follow.
