Since the acquisition of the DyStar Group and its German assets by Kiri Dyes & Chemicals Ltd on February 3, DyStar has made major progress, the company has said.

Chief executive, Steve Barron, said in a recent statement: “We are pleased with the speed of implementation of essential measures such as negotiation and signing of important contracts with our suppliers, service and financial partners.” In the meantime, the production sites Leverkusen and Brunsbüttel are fully operational. DyStar’s indigo plant in Ludwigshafen and the other international sites are continuing to work “without any constrictions”, the statement said. Textile and leather chemicals previously made in Geretsried have been transferred to other production sites.

According to DyStar, the company is committed to grow further and to remain as a leading supplier of colours and effect chemicals for the textile industry, while growing its presence in colours and chemicals for leather. Chief marketing officer, Bart van Kuijk, said in the same company statement: “DyStar’s core values of quality, ecology, compliance and innovation, all backed by application excellence, will remain the cornerstones of our business.”
