Chinese leather factory under construction in Ethiopia
The China-Africa Development Cooperation (CAD-Fund) is working to bring about new investments and generate new employment in Ethiopia.
One of the schemes that is currently underway is the building of a new factory in Suluta, around 30 km north of the country’s capital, Addis Ababa. Around 200 workers are being used for the site’s construction, and approximately 500 jobs are expected to be generated once the facility is up and running. The company that owns the factory expects revenues to exceed $25 million per year.
