Despite suffering a severe downturn in 2009, it seems the Tunisian leather sector is starting to make a partial recovery.

Statistics show that, during the first two months of 2010, leather exports totalled EUR76.7 million, up 6.4% compared with the prior-year period.

Leathergoods accounting for 13.9% of exports, while leather apparel and shoe exports accounted for 10% and 9.5%, respectively.
