New acquisition for JBS-Swift Australia

JBS-Swift Australia says it plans to acquire the Rockdale Beef feedlot and export processing business. The deal was agreed in principle on April 2.
Established in 1991, Rockdale, located near Leeton in southern New South Wales, is run under a joint venture by Japanese meat companies Itoham and Mitsubishi. The facility is one of only two integrated feedlot/processing plants in the country, comprising the second largest cattle feedlot in Australia with a licensed capacity of 53,333 head, and a 600-head per day export processing facility.
The company is waiting for approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.Share this story:
