Stahl unveils latest colour trends
Stahl has issued its colour preview for autumn-winter 2011-2012, including four distinct colour groups.
The first group, Ordinary, is inspired by the 1950s and represents a lifestyle founded on self-discipline and its role in modern civilisation. The colours are natural and ambiguous, being both burnished and gilded. The range uses glamorous red to contrast dramatically with the dark blue ink colours at the other end of the spectrum.
The Personal group creates an individual look that allows the wearer to stand out in a crowd. There are references to old traditions that are presented in a modern way using cashmere combinations to give comfort, softness and warmth. Dyed key tones and monochromes with gradations evoke tribal influences.
The Alternate group is a mixture of luxury and poverty, hinting at rebellion and exploration. The group is inspired by scientists and architects experiencing new territories, materials and techniques. Biological blue and rigorous black are mixed with alternative blends and retro nuances.
Finally, Functional leads out into the open country and focuses on nature and healthier values. The inspiration is wide open spaces and freedom, dried earth and wet dew drops. Colours are blends of very classical, natural tones including greens from the vegetable world with darker shades from the world of minerals.
Throughout each colour group there is a feeling of winter; however, there are glimpses of brightness such as bright red, blue and lilac.
