Authorities pleased with ETP progress in Nonogasta

Representatives of the public works department of the provincial government of La Rioja, Argentina, including the province’s secretary for public works, Juan Fernando Cárbel, and infrastructure minister, Javier Tineo, have paid a formal visit to the new effluent treatment plant for the leather production facilities in the town of Nonogasta, in the province of La Rioja.

The provincial government said last year that it would invest around US$3 million in the new effluent treatment plant, but that it hoped to recoup the investment from the federal government.

The reason for the visit from the authorities was to weigh up progress on the project so far and to gauge how long it will take to complete. Afterwards, Mr Cárbel said: “Things are going well; the project is 50% complete.”
