Local leather industry associations from across China will gather in Lijiang City in the northwestern province of Yunnan for their annual meeting and conference.

The event will take place from April 19-23 and will focus on "industrial transformation and restructuring" in the leather sector.

There will be discussions on topics such as sustainable growth and ways of coping with the effects of the global economic downturn.
