Honour for footwear industry leader

The president of the footwear industry association in the state of Guanajuato (CICEG), Armando Martín Dueñas, has been elected as vice-president of the Mexican Confederation of Industry Association (Concamin).
Industry commentators have said that this will boost Mr Martín Dueñas’s ability to lobby for the protection and advancement of the leather and footwear sector in Mexico, which employs, directly and indirectly, 297,000 people across the country.
He said his election was a tribute to the work of CICEG.
