Italian luxury goods brand Bulgari is aiming to double the contribution leathergoods make to its business, the chief executive has said.
In an interview with Reuters at a jewellery fair in Basel, Switzerland, Bulgari chief executive, Francesco Trapani, said: "We are not known for accessories; people think about many other brands before Bulgari for a bag. We want to change that."
He explained that leathergoods currently contribute around 7% of the company's sales and said he aims to increase that contribution to around 15% within five years.
