Leather fairs expect World Expo boost

Following news of a record amount of floor-space booked for the 2010 editions of the All China Leather Exhibition, the China International Footwear Fair and Moda Shanghai (September 1–3), the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has said that it hopes also for a boost in visitor numbers.
The leather fairs will this year coincide with Expo 2010, also known as the World Expo, which the organisers are sure will bring millions of extra visitors to Shanghai this year. CLIA says it believes this will bring a positive spin-off for the leather events.
Expo 2010 will run in the city from May 1 to October 31, 2010, with the theme Better City—Better Life. It is expected to generate the largest number of visitors in the history of the world's fairs.
