Jovial mood in Düsseldorf

15/03/2010

The latest edition of the Düsseldorf shoe fairs, GDS and Global Shoes, drew to a close on March 14 with the organisers claiming “great optimism and more-than-satisfactory results”.

In total, approximately 29,500 trade visitors used the three days of the trade fair to gather information on the 2010–11 autumn-winter season and place their orders with footwear brands. The unanimous mood among exhibitors was that buyers were in jovial spirits and the talks they held struck a positive note that had not been felt for quite some time now reflecting an avid interest in the new fashion details for the next season.

To meet changing market conditions, the GDS Advisory Board announced that from 2011 both trade fairs will be held from Wednesday to Friday.
