Uruguay exports up

The value of meat sector exports from Uruguay in the first two months of 2010 increased by 5.3% to $172 million compared to the same period last year, even though the volume of exports was down.
In terms of cattle, slaughter for the two months was just over 296,000 head, 58% of which were cows.
