JBS releases 2009 slaughter statisics

Packer and tanning group JBS has issued figures for the livestock slaughter it carried out in the course of 2009.
Across all its business units—in Brazil, Australia, the US, Argentina and Italy—the company slaughtered 12.6 million head of cattle last year, an increase of 15.9% on the year before.
