Canadian brand chooses snake-effect leather for fashion industry first

Canadian fashion brand NADA believes it will make fashion industry history when it uses a 3D film to launch its autumn 2010 collection, which uses reptile-effect leather in many of the pieces.
The film will be shown to a specially invited fashion industry audience in Toronto on March 17.
The brand’s creative director, Nada Shepherd, has explained that her theme for the new collection is a “martial arts meets gladiator combat vibe”. Metallised python and stretch reptillian embossed leather garments, with snake-infused patterned chiffon, durable lurex velvets and parachute fabrications capture this well, she said.
NADA says the film will be the first ever stereoscopic 3D film to focus on women’s wear and that the “action-packed 3D cinematography pairs with superior design to create a futuristic, martial arts meets gladiator vibe in this worldwide fashion first”.
