New lust for leather at GDS
According to the organisers of GDS, which runs March 12-14 in Düsseldorf, Germany, a new “lust for leather” can be seen in the collections for autumn-winter 2010-11.
Altogether, approximately 1,120 exhibitors from 40 countries will be present their latest shoe and bag styles at the show. Around 760 footwear companies will participate at the upcoming event, showcasing approximately 1,750 collections between them.
“Everyday we still receive inquiries from exhibitors who want to present their collections at GDS,” explained GDS director, Kirstin Deutelmoser, at a press conference. “GDS is fully geared up in virtually all areas, again presenting lots of exciting and new brands and thereby proving that trade fairs can even function well under tough economic conditions. The sector needs guidance and this it finds at GDS, not least thanks to the comprehensive supporting programme. GDS offers its customers clear added value in the form of networking.”
Key trend information will be available throughout the event, which will include fashion shows, trend lectures, workshops and trend installations.
