Lyon-based leather and footwear industry testing and quality assurance agency CTC has appointed René Liauzon head of its raw hide and tannery department.

CTC believes Mr Liauzon’s arrival will broaden the scope of its activities within the raw hide field and that his knowledge of the European leather industry and its different partners will be a major asset.

Mr Liauzon graduated from Lyon-based tannery school l’École Française de Tannerie in 1982. Before joining CTC, he was a leather and chemical products engineer before holding various senior positions within a tannery. He was president of French tanning federation FFTM (Fédération Française de la Tannerie Mégisserie) from 2006 to 2008.
