Stefani wears leather to launch new LAMB collection
Gwen Stefani and her 18-month-old son Zuma wore matching leather jackets at the launch of her label’s new collection as part of New York Fashion Week (February 11-18). Both wore black leather jackets, and Ms Stefani, who is a singer-songwriter as well as a designer, added black leather hot pants to complete the look.
The new apparel range also included a number of leather items including skinny leather trousers and military-style belts as well as a sharp-shouldered leather jacket. Models carried off the looks with voluminous hair, smoky eyes and skyscraper heels.
During the event, Ms Stefani spoke of the tragic death of world-famous fashion designer Alexander McQueen. Although she never met him, described him as a genius and said his death was “devastating”. She said he given her a few items in the past including a pair of leather boots that she has treasured.
