Delta wants leather seats on NWA aircraft
26/01/2010
Delta Air Lines has announced that it will put its familiar blue leather upholstery into the seats of 269 aircraft that it acquired as a result of its merger with Northwest Airlines in 2008.
The seat upgrades are part of a $1 billion improvement plan that the airline will carry out between now and 2013.
The company’s president, Ed Bastian, said in a statement: “Rather than invest in new aircraft, Delta will be spending its capital to improve the quality and consistency of the on-board product and efficiency of the aircraft we already own.”
