21/01/2010
Pakistan's leather industry is to send a trade delegation of 14 tanners, led by the chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), Gulzar Firoz, to Vietnam and Indonesia, with the help of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
The group will leave on January 31 and will attempt to find new avenues for bilateral business relations through detailed negotiations and meetings.
Mr Firoz said Vietnam and Indonesia had great potential to do more business with tanners in Pakistan.
During the 2008-09 financial year, Pakistan's leather industry exported products with a total value of $14.4 million these two countries.
