Drama at Le Cuir A Paris

21/01/2010

The organisers of Le Cuir A Paris have arranged artistic entertainment to help give visitors insight into the trends that will affect fashion leathers for the summer 2011 season.

Over the first three days of the event (February 9-11), actors, painters, musicians and visual artists will attend the exhibition and put on a series of performances to show the thinking behind five principal themes that trends consultants have identified for summer 2011.

The over-riding sentiment, the trends experts say, will be that followers of fashion will become protagonists that summer, rather than mere spectators. They will give in to spontaneity and will be happy to move along with "a zest of dissidence and lots of irony", without knowing what is going to happen next.

Within that, the five themes that trends experts will present at the next Le Cuir A Paris will be: Archaic Garden (for which the fashionable colours will include ash grey, kumquat orange and rose pink), Tropical Dramaturgy (pomegranate, water melon, sunshine yellow, and more), Underwater Variation (octopus, Aegean and Maldives are three of the colours here), Shadowy Shores (floating wood, turtle, crab, for example) and Enchanted Picnic (caramel, grenadine syrup, macaroon, and others).

There will be one performance on each theme, at different times.
