UK leather warehouse goes up in flames
A large fire broke out at a UK leathergoods warehouse on December 15.
The blaze occurred at around 8 am at Ridgeway Leather Company in Shelsley Walsh, Worcester. According to reports more than 30 firefighters were called to the scene and the fire took some time to put out.
Nobody was hurt, but around £100,000 ($164,000) worth of leather garments and leather equestrian goods were destroyed. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The company’s owner and managing director, told local news firm Worcester News: “We’re going to work something out on the orders. I’d like to get it back up and running in about two weeks. We’ve only just had the place refurbished.”
