Latin American exhibitors flock to Expoartesanías
Eighteen firms from Peru are participating at the 2009 edition of Expoartesanías 2009, which takes place in Bogotá, Colombia, December 7-20. These companies are presenting a range of crafts including bovine and sheep leather, leathergoods and furniture, alpaca garments, painted glass and silver jewellery. Mexico will also have a significant presence at the event, with 17 exhibitors travelling to Colombia. Bolivian, Brazilian, Paraguayan, Uruguayan, Ecuadorian and Guatemalan artisans are also showcasing a range of goods including leather items at the event. In total, 852 exhibitors from 11 countries in Latin America and Asia are presenting their latest works. Around 25,000 products are on show at the event and 90,000 visitors are expected to come through the doors during the two-week period.
