Leather workers set up for themselves

07/12/2009

Two leather workers who previously produced contract leathergoods for other companies have set up their own business.

Joe Lotuff and Frank Clegg, who now jointly own the Lotuff & Clegg business, have started production in the Fall River area, Massachusetts, once a well-known textile hub. The new company will produce a range of handmade travel bags and other leathergoods.

According to the company, the trend for fast-fashion and throwaway goods is dying out. It claims customers are now looking for products that will last a long time and will continue to be both practical and stylish long term. Each bag comes with a lifetime guarantee.
