Romanian leather academics visit Sichuan University

Dr Gaidau Carmen Cornelia and researcher Miu Lucretia from the Leather and Footwear Research Institute of Bucharest in Romania visited China’s Sichuan University at the invitation of Professor Chen Wuyong.

The aim of the trip was for the participants to share ideas about antimicrobial nanotechnology for leather and fur and to discuss future collaborative research opportunities. According to reports, the Romanian visitors were impressed by the university’s scientific leather research programme.

Bucharest’s Leather and Footwear Research Institute was established 58 years ago and mainly focuses on leather and fur research for applications in the medical arena.
