Jackson 'moonwalk' glove up for auction

18/11/2009

A leather glove used in a historic television broadcast by singer Michael Jackson will be part of an auction of memorabilia in New York on November 21.

The singer wore the glove, a Korean-made leather golf glove studded with Swarovski crystals, for a television performance to mark the founding of Motown Records. He sang 'Billie Jean' and performed his 'moonwalk' dance for the first time.

Organiser of the auction, Darren Julien, said there was a lot of interest in the glove and that he hoped it would secure bids of $50,000 or more.
