French Institute of Fashion to feature at Le Cuir

The organisers of Le Cuir À Paris, SIC, have announced that at the next edition, the event will renew it partnership with the French Institute of Fashion (IFM).

At the next edition,
which will be held from February 9–12, 2010, the exhibition’s ‘Designer’s Village’ space will be in the hands of students from the school. More than 50 prototypes of shoes and bags will be on show, designed by 20 designers from IFM and brought to life by more than 50 talented partner manufacturers and businesses.

There will be four different themes for the collection: Glam Black, Colourful, Urban Natural and Graphic.

The impressive list of companies involved in the project includes Chanel, Sergio Rossi, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, JM Weston, Mephisto and Atelier Grech. The suppliers that have contributed leather to make the pieces include Ahlskog Leather, Alran, Bodin Joyeux, New Zealand Light Leathers, Odin Joyeux and Tanneries Roux.
