Pakistan’s leather sector attracts more foreign investment
Pakistan’s leather sector attracted foreign investment worth $4 million in the year ended June 2009. This represents a significant increase (+122%) compared with the level of investment during the same period last year, which totalled just $1.8 million in same period last year.
According to the state bank, the leather sector attracted investment of $6.5 million, $3.5 million and $3 million in financial years 2005, 2006 and 2007, respectively.
