Sri Lanka's first exclusive fashion show for footwear and leather will be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo from November 6-8.

The show is being organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board with the Ministry of Industrial Development, the Industrial Development Board and various footwear associations.

A number of Sri Lankan footwear and leathergoods manufacturers will present their collections on the catwalk and the show is expected to attract a range if foreign investors and suppliers of raw material and components.

Sri Lanka’s main exports markets for leathergoods are the EU and the US. Its leathergoods exports totalled $17.7 million between January and July, with rubber and leather footwear revenues totalling $9.8 million.
