Double-digit growth for Louis Vuitton
Luxury goods retailer LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has posted revenues of €11.9 billion for the first nine months of 2009, almost flat with the same period in 2008. The group said its performance in Europe was resilient and that it continues to show strong momentum in Asia, particularly in China.
Fashion and leathergoods achieved revenue growth of 7% during the nine-month period, with Louis Vuitton posting double-digit revenue growth. Its store network continues to expand in China, where the brand performed particularly well. A new store is soon to be inaugurated in Mongolia.
The Damier Graphite leathergoods line also continues to grow, according to the company.
