Bill Amberg believes in Venezuela

Specialist leathergoods designer Bill Amberg has put items from his collections into the market in Venezuela for the first time.
In collaboration with Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker, the London-based designer has sent around ten each of his limited-edition Weekender and Overnighter bags to capital city Caracas to go on sale in two of the boutiques the Casablanca Fashion Group runs there.
All the bags are handmade and have been designed to tie in with promotions of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Buyers of each bag will receive a bottle of the whisky, in a special Amberg-designed leather case, as part of the purchase, and the calf leather on some of the Weekender bags is dyed the specific dark blue colour of the whisky label.
The designer has told media in Venezuela that he hopes this will be just the beginning of his presence in the market there. “I would love to bring other parts of my collection to the country,” he said. I’ve only spent a little time in Caracas so far, but I could tell that there is a sense of luxury in the city.”
