Build-up to IULTCS Congress starts

The thirtieth Global Congress of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) will get under way in Beijing on Sunday, October 11, hosted by the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA).
In the build-up to the event, IULTCS president, Elton Hurlow, commented: "During the 110-year history of the Union, this is only the second time that an IULTCS Congress will be held in Asia, and the first time in China. Today, China is a global leader in the production of leather, and her scientists and technicians make significant contributions toward the research and development of new technologies for leather manufacture."
As well as an in-depth technical programme, the event will include an extensive social programme, with visits to many of Beijing's most famous landmarks.
