Pakistan tanners elect new committee

The Pakistan Tanners' Association (PTA) has elected Gulzar Firoz as its chairman for 2009-2010. It is the sixth time the Karachi-based tanner has been elected to the position. His selection was unopposed.
His vice-chairmen will be Shahid Mahmud of Hafiz Enterprises, Karachi, and Shaikh Muhammad Naim of HMB Tanneries in Lahore.
The other members of the central executive committee for the year 2009-2010 are: Arshad Iqbal of National Tanneries of Pakistan Ltd, Lahore; Asfundyar Farrukh of Hub Leather, Karachi; Azam Malik, Leathertex Gloving, Lahore; Aziz Ahmed of A.M.A. Leather Industry, Karachi; Badre Alam of Badre Alam Traders, Lahore; Fawad Jawed of Din Leather, Karachi; Mansoor Iqbal of Dada Enterprises, Lahore; Muhammad Musaddiq, Siddiq Leather Works, Lahore; Muhammad Usman of Multan Impex, Multan; Shahid Usman of EPCT, Lahore; Shakil Ahmed of Universal Leather, Karachi; Afzal Hussain of Hussian Leather Craft, Karachi; Sarfaraz Amin of International Chrome Tannery, Karachi; and Agha Saiddain of Royal Leather Industries Ltd, Lahore.
