Zenda happy with Marfrig investment

The management team of Uruguay-based tanning company Zenda has said it is happy with the move from Brazilian packer and tanning group Marfrig to take a 51% stake, confirmed on September 22.

A source at Zenda told World Leather that the tannery management team would remain in place and was looking forward to having better access to reliable sources of raw hides.

The source also said the Zenda team anticipated that the change would create new jobs.
