Vodka brand goes rock-and-roll with leather

Airport retailer The Nuance Group and Swedish drinks brand Absolut have launched a new limited edition product, Absolut Vodka Rock Edition, at Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport, and are inviting customers to star in their own music video in-store.
As part of the Absolut Vodka Rock Edition gift pack, the bottle comes wrapped in leather and studs and is being launched globally in the duty free and travel retail market during September and rolled out worldwide throughout the rest of the year. It made its first appearance on 4 September at Arlanda.
To celebrate the launch, Absolut has created a rock and roll-styled bar. Staff in special outfits help customers to photograph their faces with a bar-cam. The image is then pasted into an animated, pre-designed rock music and dance video, which takes 3-4 minutes. The final result is shown on a screen in the store while staff also offer to e-mail every customer’s personal rock movie to a selected friend as well as to their own personal mailbox for the customer to share.
